What is the final date for payment of the course fees .... ?
To secure a place on the course, please complete a registration form and pay the deposit £ 500 . 00 immediately. The balance must be paid on, or before 1st May 2010.

Is there an age limit for students attending the course ... ?
The minimum age for attending the LITES 2000 Summer School course is eighteen,
however there is no upper age limit.

What would be the best clothes to pack ... ?
Varna is a holiday resort, where the average day time temperature during August is 27c (81f). night time temperatures 18c (64f), the average rain fall is 32mm.

We suggest that you pack light. For class work we advise wearing rehearsal dress: sweat shirts, sweat pants, tee shirts, shorts, skirts, etc. Clothing that is comfortable and does not restrict movement. Tennis shoes / trainer are a good choice.
The course can be quite a sociable event, so you could well find yourself doing a good deal of socialising. You should also consider this when packing. There are plenty of launderettes in Varna, so whatever you pack should be machine washable.

What about Money ... ?
The currency in Bulgaria is the Leva. In the current world financial situation the exchange rate between Sterling, American Dollar, Euro and other currencies is constantly changing, so you should check with your bank for the most recent information
We strongly recommend you to bring a bank card that will allow you to draw money out of your "cheque account" back home. This way you have only the money you need and you will receive the best exchange rate available for the day you draw it out.
IMPORTANT:
You will not be able to draw money out of a "savings account" at a cash point, or ATM. You must check with your bank, before you leave home to be sure that your cards will work in international ATM's.

What about student travel discount ... ?
If you intend exploring Bulgaria, either before, or after the course, you should purchase an International Student I.D. card. This allows you to get discounted travel, accommodations and tickets, as well as accident insurance. You should get your hands on a copy of "Bulgaria - the Rough Guide"
You can obtain information about Student I.D. card, at most university student centres.
