HEAD OF DRAMA


Tim is an experienced director and designer, with well over a hundred productions to his credit, including "Brighton Beach Memoirs," "On the Verge," "The Real Queen of Hearts," "Prelude to a Kiss," "All My Sons," "Lysistrata," "The Hostage," and "How I Learned to Drive."

He gained an MA at California State University at Long Beach, where he majored in Theatre Arts. Later he worked at Long Beach City College and the University of Northern Colorado, before becoming Professor of Theatre Arts at Fresno City College, California.

For the past fifteen years he has headed numerous student groups at the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In the spring of 1990 and 1997, he taught theatre studies at the Fresno City College's International Education Semester in England program. He is an active member of the American College Theatre Festival and regularly adjudicates college and university theatre productions in Region VII for the festival.

In 1994, he was appointed Head of Drama for LITES2000 Summer Schools. Since that time he has set new standards for the superior quality in tuition and performance on this course. He is personally responsible for ensuring that we retain the high standard for which this course is famous.

His former students are currently working in various areas of theatre including: the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Pacific Conservatory of Theatre, major colleges, universities and community theatres, in the United States. Others are enjoying careers in the theatre, television and film industry, in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle and Washington.
